3 positions open. Bergdorf Goodman seeks skilled cooks with at least 2 years of cooking experience for our restaurant team. This is a full time position, 5 days (40 hours) per week with paid overtime as needed.You must be a reliable team member who is willing to learn and puts care into the food they make. You must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays.We are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and Easter so that you may enjoy these holidays with your loved ones! Responsibilities Set up workstations with all needed ingredients Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables. Cook food in various utensils Check food while cooking to stir or turn Ensure great presentation by attention to detail Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen Ensure all food and other items are stored properly Check quality of ingredients Skills Proven experience as cook (2 years Minimum) Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware Ability to follow all sanitation procedures Ability to work in a team Very good communication skills
